Stella Downie builds IRL, consumer facing businesses that don’t appear to have much in common with each other. First she built Boston’s best toy store, then eventually sold it. Then she launched the first indoor trampoline park business on the East Coast, buying a SkyZone franchise license and growing to five sites across New England before selling that. And now she’s restoring and re-launching a retro Berkshires motor lodge on the beautiful Mohawk Trail in Western Massachusetts. Visionary but very very humble, hard-working in the extreme, Stella understands how to operationalize a vision and how to make customers happy. And that’s what we’re going to talk about.
